Located just half a mile from Historic Downtown Truckee at the Truckee River Regional Park, the Truckee Ice Rink is easily accessible with plenty of parking. Or, you can catch the free on-demand Truckee shuttle TART Connect to be dropped off and picked up. What you’ll find is an outdoor rink set under tall pines, with a bonfire, overhead lights, and music to skate by. Hungry? There’s a snack bar as well right next to the rink and you’re just minutes from restaurants and dining at The Rock, home to Drunken Monkey, FiftyFifty Brewing, and Thai Delicacy.

Winter Birthday? Have your party at the Ice Rink! They have a package that includes: Warming Hut and hot cocoa for up to 20 people total. Admission and skate rental included.

Northstar boasts an expansive 9,000-square-foot skating rink in the heart of the Village. Take a break or just enjoy the scene in style, lounging on cushy chairs in front of a warm fire pit with a hot toddy in hand. Head upstairs to a great dessert spot in Truckee, the Overlook Gourmet Hot Chocolate Bar. And when hunger strikes, don't miss the chance to dine at one of Truckee's newest culinary gems, Wild Pine Kitchen & Bar.

The ice rink is open daily, weather permitting between noon to 9 pm.
Access is free. Skate rentals are $15 with helmets available for an additional $5.

Call the resort Rec Center at 530-584-4024 to find out the latest information of when the ice skating rink will be open.
Rates to access the rink for adults is $15.00 for 1 Hour / $25.00 Half Day / $35.00 Full Day. For youth, it’s $7.50 for 1 hr / $10.00 Half Day / $17.50 Full Day. To rent the ice skates, it’s $15 for 1 hour, $25 for a half-day, and $35.00 for a full day.
Near Tahoe City, the winter sports park features a range of activities including cross-country skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, and of course an ice skating rink. Please note that the ice skating rink tends to be highly sought after, so we strongly recommend making advance reservations. While limited walk-up spots may be available, there's no assurance of space without a reservation.

Rates are $10.00 for adult residents & $20.00 for non-residents, $5 for rental skates, $20.00/$8.00 for ages 14 and under. Season passes are available starting at $69.
