Sustainable Truckee is an initiative funded by Visit Truckee-Tahoe. Protecting Truckee’s environmental assets, while supporting the ever-growing desire for outdoor recreation and spending time in nature is critical for the long-term preservation of our mountain town and community. We recognize that tourism, by its very nature, values the things that all of us treasure - our environment, culture, and people. As destination leaders, the time is now to guide our industry into this necessary new era of Destination Stewardship and Sustainability.
